REMEMBER IS LIVE!!!! AND FOR A LIMITED TIME IT’S 99 CENTS.

Blurb…

Sixteen-year-old, Charlize Daniels, is resigned to her place in the shadows until one day with a rush of death, she meets him.

He’s everything she’s not. Tall with face like an angel, a mouth like a sinner, tattoos and piercings to rival those of rock gods, in one word, he’s cocky. And worse, he comes with his own personal fan club.

Only their every meeting is suspect, leaving her to question why he only ever turns up when her life is headed south, backwards or upside down. His explanations are shady, and his hot and cold gives her whiplash. But his lips on hers burn and take her places she’s never been.

If only she can trust him. If only he reveals what he really is? Then hopefully they won’t end up on opposite sides of a frienemy line, and she’s forced to take him down. Worse case, he’s already planned to take her out first. And not on a date, but in a dead kind of way.

For a limited time, the book is 99 cents as a thank you for all your support over the years.

This week has been a trying time for our family as we deal with one of my children being a victim of a crime. We would like to believe things like what happened, happens to someone else. But you never know. I hope you and yours will never experience what me and mine are going through. I won’t say more in order to protect my family and the ongoing investigation. Thanks for giving me time to work through this and understanding my release delay.

Enjoy the rest of your week. Spring is coming at least in weather temperature for us. I hope you have nice weather as well.

Next month, I should be releasing my New Adult Dystopian romance. The story, originally named Looking, has been pulled from Wattpad. I look forward to sharing the cover with you. The book is in the hands of the editor. So it will likely change some from the version posted on Wattpad.

Last but not least, I hope to release another free “episode of Mercy and the gang” after the final book. That and I’m working on releasing Rogue, the follow-up to Alliance.

Remember Cover Reveal

Hey guys. Sorry for the radio silence. I’ve been busy. If you don’t know, I hit the USA Today list for a new adult book I wrote under a different pen name and that has started to eat up more and more of my time.

However, I’m still committed to my young adult books, including Remember. The book has been re-edited and gotten a new cover I’ve been sitting on for a while. I hope you guys will share for me. Sharing is caring, lol.

I also plan to publish my young adult dystopian novel that currently on Wattpad. I can’t wait to share that cover with you guys.

Anyway, here is the cover. And thanks for sticking with me. Without you all, my dream of writing wouldn’t be possible.

Much love on Valentine’s Day. I hope you guys are having a great one.

Title: Remember
Author: Shannon Dermott
Release date: 02/29
Genre: YA paranormal romance
Blurb:
Fans of Twilight will love the world of angels, demons, vampires and shifters that Shannon Dermott has created.

Born in the north and raised in the south, Shannon Dermott is an author of paranormal romance/urban fantasy and contemporary romance for young adults and adults. Although originally a northerner, she grew up during her formidable years in the southern heat, hanging out and having lots of fun.
It was during those years, she explored her creative side with fictional romance stories about all her teen crushes. Fun times!
Her love for reading constantly conflicts with her need to write. Interestingly, she reads more police procedural than fantasy or romance. When not reading or writing, Shannon is going to the movies, hanging out with family and friends, or best of all shopping. She loves all kinds of music (current and the 80s) and is currently obsessed with Thirty Seconds to Mars.
Just as much love Shannon has for reading is her first passion for numbers and math. But though it began with her obsession of reading and math, weaving stories won out in the end.

I’m sorry…

Hello,

This is my apology letter. While I had every intention in the world to release Sacrifice of Mercy on October 15th, it didn’t happen.
It seems I’m cursed. Shortly after I made the release date announcement, road blocks started to surface in my life to cause this cluster F$@%. While I assumed nearly a month was enough time to do my final read through with edits, sadly it wasn’t.

My kids started to get sick, one by one and my husband too. It boiled down to: I have time and they need me (or so they whined they did, lol), so in my head ‘I’ll work on it the next day’. Well, as the virus worked its way through my household as viruses do with young children who won’t keep their hands washed or cough in their elbow unless I’m looking. So eventually, I got sick. And I happened to get it the worst. Three days I did nothing but feel as though I was dying.

After getting a bunch of meds from the doctor, at this point I’m scrambling to finish the edits. I considered accepting all and putting the book out there. But my critique partner suggested that I just share with you all what was going on.

Stubborn as I am, I was determined to finish the edits through hell and high water. In fact, I spent several sleepless ‘unproductive’ nights over the last few days trying to get done. Only the day came for publishing, and I struggled to try to stay awake and not taking meds to so that I could finish (meds made me sleepy). And I crashed, unable to stop myself.

Today, I had a follow up with the doctor. I’m not better. I have a course of meds to take, and doctors worried I’m not taking good care of myself. AND my kids woke up this ‘day off from school’ asking if I planned to take them to the movies and to get their Halloween costumes as promised. (I thought I would be done with the book when I made that promise).

I had to make some tough decisions.

And I decided I needed to come clean. And hope you guys will forgive me. I also decided I can’t keep letting my kids down because in their words, I’m always in front of a computer, and I don’t have time for them. (Guilty). I need to give them some time today.

So I beg that you all will understand I need just a few more days. I promise to put it up after I finish with the last 30 or so percent of edits. I hope it’s worth the wait. And again, I’m sorry.

*hangs head low*

Also, I’m not ignoring your post, comments, PMs, emails. I’ve just been so focused on the book; I haven’t read through them yet. And I’ll admit I didn’t want to feel any guiltier than I do. I will respond to all your messages in the next day once Mercy is live.

Again, I’m sorry…

Blurb

Life is a journey and for Mercy it has been more than a bumpy road. She’s loved, she’s lost and now it’s time to atone for her decisions. Everything she’s gone through has come down to one moment, one twist of fate, one decision that will impact not only her life, but all the lives around her and beyond.

Faced with the impossible, she will grasp at all the answers, all the truths she’s so long sought. The question remains, is she be willing to make the sacrifices necessary to win not only all the battles but the war, at any cost including her heart?

Happy Summer

It’s been a while. I’m working hard on Sacrifice of Mercy. It’s the final book in the series. I’m trying to make sure I wrap up all unanswered questions.

In the meanwhile, I’ve been posting chapters of Looking (Title might change for publishing) on Wattpad. It’s a New Adult Romance with a dystopian type twist. It’s more of a romance, and not a save the world book. Nothing on the lines of Divergent. It’s set here on earth in today’s times. There has been an “Ecological” event that makes it more dystopian. Anyway, it’s hard to explain. Give it a try and share your thoughts with me. Who knows, I could take your advice and give you a shout in the book.

Here is the blurb…

Harlow Forde, a nursing student, has loved Jackson for as long as she could remember. When the small town sport’s hero lands a full scholarship to a prestigious university, he’s forced to choose a future over the only girl he’s ever loved. When a natural disaster sends him back home, the fact that he doesn’t return alone doesn’t stop his attraction to Harlow. Only Mother Nature doesn’t turn out to be the town’s only foe. Together, they are forced to work in harmony to save the town they love while their attraction continues to burn bright and threatens to combust.

I would rate the book mature audience, but there isn’t much in the way of explicit details that a mature teen couldn’t handle.

If I would cast Jackson and Harlow, I might choose these two model/actors

Final Cambion Book Reveal

I thought writing Angel of Mercy was the hardest book I had to write. I was wrong. This book will be the hardest to complete. I’ve said goodbye to several characters, but these started it all for me. One part of me wishes to continue this series forever. But paranormal romance books must come to end. Had this been urban fantasy, maybe…

All the answers you seek will be revealed. I hope everyone will be pleased with the ending. I know there are camps on both sides, or three sides, lol. But Mercy can’t have them all. (as much as I would like her too, JK).

The book will end as it was always meant to. I’m considering writing an alternative ending so everyone will be assured of happiness. I’m not sold on that yet. I will try my best to put out at least weekly teasers to keep you guys going until release, which will be soon. It won’t be that long unless the unexpected happens (such as illness, death, etc.).

But I want to hear from you guys. I have a poll to see who you want Mercy to end up with. Then I’d love to hear what you are hoping to see or get answers to, outside of the romance.

Oh, and even though this story is done and all questions surrounding this series will be answered in this book including the romance question; there will be one more book with some of these characters and characters from the Alliance series. It will read more like urban fantasy as romance won’t be the major element of the story. And you won’t have to read both series to enjoy.

And after much ado, here is the cover of the fifth and final book in the Cambion series along with a tentative blurb.

Readers wanted

Okay, I thought this might be fun. I’ve been wanting to try Wattpad forever but I didn’t have a story to post. Now, I have this story that might have never seen the light of day anytime in the next year. I decided why not post it for you guys to read. It’s New Adult contemporary although there is a dystopian twist to it. So far, there is a bit of steam in it (I call it more angst), but nothing a mother would worry about a young adult reading. (nothing explicit).

Love to hear what you guys think about it while I work on completing my next project. I’m curious how this wattpad thing works. I’ve been too busy writing, I’m late to the wattpad phenomenon.

Anyway, the book is titled Looking. This is the current cover, not sure exactly how I feel about it. Anywho…
