It’s been a long time…

I know it’s been a long time, but I’ve been writing. Today I want to share the cover for my newest book Underneath the Sun. It’s a dystopian romance. And yes, I’m working on book to of the Remember series. But here is the cover for Underneath the Sun designed by Mayhem Cover Creations. I hope you all will love this story as much as I do.

Underneath the Sun
Genre: Dystopian
Release Date: July 6, 2017

Scientist warned this day was coming. And it’s finally here.
Harlow Forde is a fighter and shows no fear when the sirens blare warning that the sun’s rays that brighten the sky and create golden tans will now blister skin on contact. She grabs her bag, like the rest of the residents of her town, giving up the only home she’s ever known to make the most of her new underground one.
It makes no difference as Harlow is used to giving up the things that matter most to her like her dreams of becoming a doctor when financially she couldn’t swing it. Worst of all, letting the only boy she’s ever loved, Jackson Beau, go. The small town sport’s hero left at her urging for dreams he could achieve by utilizing a full scholarship at a prestigious university hours away.
Even though everything has changed between them, Harlow still holds out hope that Jackson will arrive before the mining doors close so that together they can hide from the brightest star in the sky now the Earth’s inhabitant’s most dangerous adversary.
Only Mother Nature is not their only foe. The residents of her town will have to band together to survive as Harlow finds her place, her voice, and love underneath the sun.

Shannon’s first love is reading, diving into other realities to explore and brave new worlds. To share her writing is the best experience of all. She writes books about teen romance whether paranormal or contemporary. She also has a steamy adult series. When Shannon isn’t writing she loves to shop and watch horror movies that make turning out the lights seem like a stupid idea. It’s been a long time…

I’m sorry I haven’t posted. I’m writing and being a mother.

I hope everyone had an awesome summer.

I wonder if you guys miss Mercy and the boys like I do???

As an update, for those of you that read Remember, it got a much-needed facelift and not the outside of the book, but the inside. I had the book re-editing yet again. And this time, I think it was done right. I can finally put that monkey behind me and get the paperback done.

In other news, I would love to finish the second book in Remember series, but it feels as though readers don’t want paranormal anymore. Is that true? I hope not, I love paranormal.

I am writing like crazy. I have two books that will release on audio this month. However, they aren’t under this author name. I have a book due to my editor on the 9/15. And I hope to finish my current WIPs by the end of the month freeing up time for me to get back to what I love. That’s writing young adult.

Thanks to all of you, who have continued to support me. I have a new adult dystopian book that needs to go through editing. I have a gorgeous cover just waiting for me to share. And I have to finish writing book two in the Charlize Daniels series.

I also have an idea for a contemporary romance book. So many ideas, so little time.

I just wanted to give a heads up that I’m still around.

I’m sorry…

Hello,

This is my apology letter. While I had every intention in the world to release Sacrifice of Mercy on October 15th, it didn’t happen.
It seems I’m cursed. Shortly after I made the release date announcement, road blocks started to surface in my life to cause this cluster F$@%. While I assumed nearly a month was enough time to do my final read through with edits, sadly it wasn’t.

My kids started to get sick, one by one and my husband too. It boiled down to: I have time and they need me (or so they whined they did, lol), so in my head ‘I’ll work on it the next day’. Well, as the virus worked its way through my household as viruses do with young children who won’t keep their hands washed or cough in their elbow unless I’m looking. So eventually, I got sick. And I happened to get it the worst. Three days I did nothing but feel as though I was dying.

After getting a bunch of meds from the doctor, at this point I’m scrambling to finish the edits. I considered accepting all and putting the book out there. But my critique partner suggested that I just share with you all what was going on.

Stubborn as I am, I was determined to finish the edits through hell and high water. In fact, I spent several sleepless ‘unproductive’ nights over the last few days trying to get done. Only the day came for publishing, and I struggled to try to stay awake and not taking meds to so that I could finish (meds made me sleepy). And I crashed, unable to stop myself.

Today, I had a follow up with the doctor. I’m not better. I have a course of meds to take, and doctors worried I’m not taking good care of myself. AND my kids woke up this ‘day off from school’ asking if I planned to take them to the movies and to get their Halloween costumes as promised. (I thought I would be done with the book when I made that promise).

I had to make some tough decisions.

And I decided I needed to come clean. And hope you guys will forgive me. I also decided I can’t keep letting my kids down because in their words, I’m always in front of a computer, and I don’t have time for them. (Guilty). I need to give them some time today.

So I beg that you all will understand I need just a few more days. I promise to put it up after I finish with the last 30 or so percent of edits. I hope it’s worth the wait. And again, I’m sorry.

*hangs head low*

Also, I’m not ignoring your post, comments, PMs, emails. I’ve just been so focused on the book; I haven’t read through them yet. And I’ll admit I didn’t want to feel any guiltier than I do. I will respond to all your messages in the next day once Mercy is live.

Again, I’m sorry…

Happy Valentine’s Day (a day early)

Valentines

What better way to celebrate with Mercy and the boys. So I’ve posted two deleted scenes. One from Angel of Mercy and the other from Have No Mercy.

I have other deleted scenes and will post more in the future as we draw near to the final book in the series. So much is going to happen, I’m not sure how I’ll cram it all into one book. But I will find a way. It’s been on my mind a lot.

Thanks for all your support. If you haven’t written a review for Have No Mercy, consider writing one and posting on Amazon. (this is me begging, lol)

I’m working to get Broken Len released. I’m a little behind, but it is going to happen.

And to Mercy…

(thanks Tiffany for the first two teasers. I absolutely love them.)
