A chapter a day…

Truly, if I could write a chapter a day, I swear I’d be done with AOM by now. But I do have exciting things in store. Hopefully I’ll be able to announce something soon. In the meantime the next chapter in the Sebastian story is posted if you’re interested. Chapter 6.

I think Sebastian wonders just what it feels like to be Alive….

Thanks

I wanted to say thank you to you all for being patient and waiting on Angel of Mercy. It’s still a work in progress, but I am working. For those that are wondering why it’s taking so long, I’ll give you the short version. ePiracy sort of took the wind out of my sails. (Look back to previous post for full story Oct/Nov timeframe) Still, I’m committed to finishing the series, so no worries there.

I’ve written a POV to help with the wait. I’ll try to get out another chapter of Sebastian soon.

So here it is, a bonus POV from WFM.

It’s been a while

Hey everyone, sorry it’s been a while. I’ve been busy writing, editing and generally dealing with life. I know you guys are waiting on AOM, and I’m doing my best to get it you soon. I’m in the middle of four projects so my time is all over the place. For you patiently in waiting, I’ll try to get you guys a POV from WFM. I think I have just the one in mind.

In the meantime, the lovely ladies at Rather Barefoot than Bookless are hosting me as Author in the Spotlight for the month of January.

AS jan mini

They have a couple of POVs they’ve posted and will be posting this month from Beg for Mercy and Through the Lens. I believe they have one for tomorrow, just an FYI. They also have a couple of interviews which reveal some answers to certain questions. Check out their blog here. http://ratherbarefoot.blogspot.com/

Okay, I’ve also posted another chapter in the Sebastian story. You can find it here. Chapter 5.

Updates and Broken Lens

I’m happy that Through the Lens has remained in the top 100 of the Coming to Age books on Amazon these past few weeks. Yay!  However, it’s down to the #93 spot tonight. But that’s okay. I’m just excited that it lasted this long.

So the big question is how the book ended. I know everyone wanted a perfect HEA. And instead, I think I gave a realistic one. So, to answer the question I’ve gotten a lot lately, yes, there will be a book two. And it will be told from the guy’s POV. I have it halfway written in my head already. I just don’t have time yet to put it on paper yet.

I also think I’m almost done with Remember and it will hopefully go out to my beta reader’s this week. However, AOM has been on my mind a lot lately, and I find myself writing that….  A lot of sad songs have inspired me to write AOM, lol, not good.  But inspiration comes where it comes.

So here is a preview of the cover of Broken Lens….

Broken Lens v2

I will post the next chapter in Sebastian’s story this week. And if you aren’t too busy Christmas Day, check back here for a goodie I hope to leave you.  I too have much to do that day, but I’m hoping to post a sneak preview of a long awaited book.

And on that note…. Everyone have a safe and wonderful holiday(s).

What’s going on?

Hey guys, I can hardly keep up with everything that is going on.  I want to first say thanks to all of you for a successful launch of Through the Lens.

TTL_5-2

It’s remained in the top #100 of Coming of Age books for this past week. I hope it continues.

Thanks for all of you who have posted reviews.  They are so important.

For those who’ve read and asked, I’m here to answer.

Yes, I’ve considered writing a sequel to the story probably from Ethan’s POV. Another possibility is offshoot story with Madison & Bradley and/or an Allie story.  However, I’m sure most of you would prefer for me to get Angel of Mercy out there as soon as possible.

Remember will hopefully be out this month.  Everything has been delayed.  But I’m doing my best to get things finished.

Don’t forget my iPad Mini giveaway.  I’ve been told it will work internationally, but confirm with Apple if you are concerned.

Finally, I will hopefully post another POV from the Cambion series and/or another chapter in the Sebastian story sometime this week.  Maybe even today if I can get my act together.

Thanks guys for all your considerable support and kind words.  They help me through the rough patches of writing.

And the giver I am, I will leave you with a teaser from AOM.

AOM_eBook_FINAL7_7-29-12

Hands filled with strength and love that had moments before caressed my back, stopped.  Falling away like stones on a mountain, he pulled on the sides of my shirt and released. “Were you dressed when Sebastian came to get you?”

The menace in his voice gave me pause.  I nodded furiously, conveying a Yes, while I watched his eyes cloud over with a hurricane of dark emotions.  I felt my Luke slipping away and the one I created emerge.  His hand drifted up between my breasts without touching.  Then he pinched the fabric of my shirt, pulling a bit again and released.  “Why weren’t you dressed?  It’s the middle of the day.” The accusation left unsaid hurt……

Scrambling off his lap, I stumbled to my feet.  ….., trying to hold back my own anger.  In my head, I repeated this isn’t my Luke several times, trying to calm down.

Standing, he towered over me looking very pissed off. “You haven’t answered me. Why weren’t you dressed?”

“I was sleeping okay,” I yelled.  Then in words meant to cut deep, I said, “I haven’t been sleeping well without you.”

The pinched expression he held began to fade away.  The darkness within him began to recede.  Bending over, he picked up the book.  When his eyes met mine again, they were no longer the churning waters of an ocean brewing a storm.

“I’m sorry Mercy. Shit, sometime I can’t help it.  I love you so much it hurts.”  His fingers pushed my hair behind my ear.  His thumbs caress my mouth.  His touch sent shivers through me.

Aching for him to kiss me, I said, “I love you too.”

Nodding, he flipped the book in his hand to get to a page. “See here,” he pointed. What I saw was a bunch of gibberish. Watching me, he said, “I’m sorry you probably don’t read Latin.” Shaking my head, he added, “I’ve been looking through books about Succubi.” Quickly, he looked back at the book, but not before I caught the slight guilt in his eyes.  The cure for the damnation I’d bestowed on him would obviously be in books about my species. “And I came across this.” With his finger, he pointed again. I looked because he wanted me too…..

Mercy Tour News

On day 17 of the Mercy Tour, I have to admit despite the rating, I loved Ali’s review, it made me laugh.  I’m going to steal a bit to share with you guys because she compares the guys to chocolate.

Luke is like white chocolate; super sweet and soft. He’s also chivalrous, caring, protective and California surfer boy hot. He’s hiding secrets of his own and should have nothing but platonic intentions towards Mercy.  Though this isn’t stopping him from pursuing or falling for her.

Flynn is more like dark chocolate; sinfully delicious and only good for you in small doses.  Flynn is an Incubus demon and should be Mercy’s match for all practical reasons. He is forced to feed off the lust of others to survive and this has given him the inevitable reputation of a man-whore. Which repulses Mercy, much to Flynn’s
dismay.

Paul, unlike Luke or Flynn, is milk chocolate. Average, good, nothing really spectacular but reliable. He’s been Mercy’s good friend and only real confidant for so long, she can’t help the thrill she gets when around him.

My Poor Paul, lol .  Anyway, you can check out her full review here.  http://ginger-read.blogspot.com/2012/11/review-tour-stop-beg-for-mercy.html

Information about the full tour and givaways, see this list here.

The Show Must Go On

I’d really like to say thank you for all of you who have reached out to me this week via this blog, e-mail, twitter, goodreads, etc to lend your support.  As much as I was ready to throw in the towel and maybe a part of me still does, I also feel like the few should spoil it for the many.

So the show must go on.

I will finish AOM.  I’m not exactly sure if it will be the same way as planned, but I will finish it.  I’m also not sure what medium it will be released.  But I have time to figure that out.

As a thank you and the spark I needed, I wrote another POV.  This is for all those that did pay for BFM and WFM or borrowed it legally through Amazon or borrowed a paperback copy.

For those intent on posting my work and other author’s work on the web without permission, remember one thing called Karma.  One day, something may happen in your life that makes you say “Why Me?”  After you have that thought, remember all the things you did that came back to haunt you.

For those that “can’t afford a copy,” contact me.  I’ll get you a legal copy of the book if I can.  Maybe people wouldn’t post illegal copies of books if there weren’t people to read them, something to keep in mind.

Enough about that.

This POV is from WFM.  It’s the spark I needed to get me in the mood for AOM.

I hope you enjoy.
